James Halliday's Top 100 Wines 2023

Halliday's long awaitedTop 100 Wines of 2023were revealed this weekend, of which 80 are Australian table wines (plus 20 Australian Sparkling wins and Champagnes). TheJuniper Cornerstone Wilyabrup Cabernet Sauvignon 2016was placed in the 20 reds over $40 in the Cabernet Sauvignon & Blends category of which there were but 4 wines. Here's what James said:

"Hand-picked and sorted; aged in French oak for up to 20 months, the best barrels selected for teh final blend. Long and precisely balanced;its varietal expression is one of extreme purity. Drink to 2040. 97 Points."
