Wine: Australia

The Wine Australia gateway lists and links the major wine publications that demonstrate the growth of the wine industry in Australia and the global popularity of Australian wine. In particular, Wine Austalia links through to Australian Wine Online, which shows the 2004 Australian & New Zealand Wine Industry Directory lists 1,798 companies who commercially sell their wine plus four major wine groups, a 10.6% increase from the previous edition. During 2003 the Directory saw a net gain of 173 wine producers: a new Australian wine producer every 52 hours.

The Margaret River wine region in Western Australia is now world renowned for its excellence in viticulture. You can find dozens of fine wineries within a few kilometres of each other. The Margaret River wineries love to welcome their visitors for wine tastings, meals in their first class restaurants, and a stroll around their beautiful grounds and vineyards.
