There’s terrific value in this elegant, well-structured cabernet. An excellent vintage. 18/20
Peter Forrestal, Top 100 Winter Wines, The Sunday Times, 20 April 2008
Aromatic black fruits, blackcurrants, blackberries along with spicy plums. Lifted and upfront with good alcohol and seamless oak. Well blended and composed. A well rounded mouthfeel with a luscious long finish of black fruits along with fine tannins. Value drinking at this price. Try with grilled rump and mushroom sauce. Drink to 2012. About $18. 91/100 – Excellent.

‘Very much a drink-now style from Margaret River, with extremely approachable medium-weight flavours and a silky smooth finish.’
John Fordham, The Sunday Telegraph, Food & Wine, 14th October 2007
‘Often the second label of Juniper Estate shows very well, and this is a case in point. Freshness, balance and length of flavour are the strong points of this latest offering. Excellent Value.
Winewise Cabernet Sauvignon Tasting – Highly Recommended Category – June 2007
To find great Margaret River Cabernet at this price is a steal. Better still, the ’05 vintage was one of the best in recent years, so there are two good reasons to put some away in your cellar. Classic cassis fruit characters, with Cabernet’s usual dry firm tannins make this a wine for now, but a few more years will see plenty of positive progression.
