Latest News > 2007 Juniper Crossing Tempranillo
The Crossing wines fulfill a different purpose from the Estate wines. They are our more easy drinking style with an appropriately lower price tag. We would like them to be enjoyed every day while the Estate wines remain the pinnacle of our ambitions, spending more time in oak (in the case of the reds) and being released later.

Good colour; dark cherry bouquet, with bramble and spice; juicy blue fruits on the palate, with a very attractive savoury twist to the finish; firm and tannic, but in balance with the fruit. Screwcap. 14% alc

James Halliday Australian Wine Companion 2010
This is just a baby, but already shows signs of what's to come in regards to depth and palatability. Loaded with ripw cherries and that hint of tell tale Coca-Cola-like flavour, it offers intensity and style. There is some youthful tannin, but also a whiff of elegance and structure that some other tempranillo producers seem to lack. Awarded: Gold (18.5)
Scoop Magazine, The Unusual Suspect, Autumn 2009
Juniper make terrific wine across the board and the Juniper Crossing range is outstanding value. The tempranillo is an honest fruit-forward style with liquorice and cherry aromas, the palate’s sprung with juicy acid crunch, fine tannins and vibrant berry flavours; balanced and ready to drink as a youngster.
