Latest News > 2007 Juniper Crossing Shiraz

The Crossing wines fulfill a different purpose from the Estate wines. They are our more easy drinking style with an appropriately lower price tag. We would like them to be enjoyed every day while the Estate wines remain the pinnacle of our ambitions, spending more time in oak (in the case of the reds) and being released later.

Reviews:

"Fresh spicy blackberry; well integrated oak. Very good fruit persistence with balanced firm fine tannins."
Winewise Volume 26 Number 2 June 2010

“Holding crimson hue well; completing the fermentation in oak has had a major impact on the mouthfeel of the wine, softening the grape tannins but enhancing those of the oak. Needed a touch more depth of fruit for top points. 4.5 star wine
Screwcap. 14.5% alc. Rating 90 Drink 2014. $21. Date Tasted Jan 10”
James Halliday’s Australian Wine Companion 2011

“Lots of warm, ripe fruit displaying earthy savoury nuances with a dusty, spicy overlay. An easy-drinking wine that sits somewhere between the 05 and 06 vintages in terms of palate weight and body. 89/100
